The tea room is one of architecture's most exacting forms. A space designed for stillness.
We work in collaboration with a distinguished Tokyo-based tea room architectural studio with more than thirty-five years in practice to bring this tradition to private and commercial clients across Europe. Each project is designed with the same rigour applied to tea rooms for centuries — the approach and entry, the choice of natural materials, the handling of light, the scale of the room itself.
Not every space calls for a full tea room. Some clients want a single room of complete fidelity to the tradition — the tatami, the nijiriguchi, the garden threshold, the alcove. Others are looking to draw on its principles — the materials, the spatial logic, the quality of calm — and weave them into something that speaks to a contemporary context: a matcha café, a hotel lounge, a wellness space, a corner of a private apartment.
We work across that full range. The tradition is capacious enough to hold all of it.
We work with luxury hotels, restaurants, retail destinations, private members' clubs, wellness facilities, and private residences.
